On July 19, 2018, the National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences (INCDSB) has organized a meeting with the local actors at the Research Center in Murighiol. The objective of the meeting was to present the DANS as a support project for the achievement of the European research infrastructure DANUBIUS-RI, a major project for Romania, included in the ESFRI Roadmap 2016 (European Strategic Forum on Research Infrastructures). The meeting was attended by: Mayor of Murighiol commune, local tourism companies, fishermen, parish representative, National Institute for Research and Development Danube Delta-Tulcea (INCDD).
The meeting has included two parts: in the first part the DANS project and three short films with the Danube Delta and the sturgeon breeding technology were presented, and in the second part the main problems of the local community were identified through dialogue: eutrophication, pollution of water – soil – air, clogging channels, intensive agriculture and drastic reduction of fish.
