Workshop: SuperSite – Technical Aspects, Locations and Spatial Arrangement organized by INCDDD Tulcea between 31.07-01.08.2018

The working sessions of the Workshop: SuperSite – Technical Aspects, Locations and Spatial Arrangement organized by INCDDD Tulcea with the participation of the members of the Consortium: INCDSB, GeoEcomar, Lower Danube University and Romanian Academy, were lengthy debating sessions that took place during the two days 31.07-01.08.2018, in order to analyze the stage and the harmonization of the three main components of the DANS project: the Murighiol HUB, the Galaţi Data Center and the Danube Delta SuperSite. Tuesday before the actual workshop were presented information on the activities carried out and interdisciplinary connections in order to achieve the proposed objectives, with a careful attention to the technical, economic, social, but also legal issues. Each participant in the Consortium provided and shared with partners the ability to work interdisciplinary and to improve their effectiveness in meeting the planned deadlines. In this interactive session started by establishing the critical components of the critical calendar, then explicit connections between the components ended with concrete steps in the conduct of activities and a common framework. For most of the workshop, the dialogue was informal, instructive, and constructive, with concrete application and integration of content in the specific settings of the three design components.
In response to the global trends in bureaucratic urbanism, the partners have adopted strategies/solutions/systems that allow the building of architectural and constructive objectives in time and quality. This workshop explored both the research agenda formulated in the DANS project and the legal perspectives of ERIC integration. The invited speakers described the significant research needs, especially in the field of biodiversity, to better understand the working systems within this dynamic, scale-oriented, aggregated systems and to identify the emerging properties of this component that can lead to Ecosystem Based Adaptation and long-term sustainable development.
The workshop participants have shown current and future trends in the Fluvial-Delta-Mare System research and opportunities to engage in collaborative research to develop a deep understanding of the system and the effects on human well-being.
Through this workshop, actions were proposed to:
