Danube Delta National Institute for Research & Development organized in the period November 22-23, 2018 the „DANS” workshop “Presentation of the Center for Advanced Studies that will contribute to the sustainable development of the Danube Delta” which was integrated into a major event of DDNI at the 2nd edition: “Stakeholder’s dialogues on sustainable development strategies: lessons, opportunities, case studies “under the patronage of the Ministry of Research and Innovation. One of the roles of the workshop was the awareness of local authorities, SMEs and NGOs on the importance of the project for the proper implementation of their specific activities.
120 representatives (from Romania and Republic of Moldova) of INCDSB Bucharest, Geoecomar Bucharest, Romanian Academy – IGAR Bucharest, University “Dunărea de Jos” Galaţi, DDNI Tulcea as project partners participated in the “DANS” Work-shop, and as guests representatives: Tulcea Prefecture, Tulcea County Council, Tulcea Environmental Protection Agency, ARBDD Tulcea, The Mayor of Tulcea City, Tulcea SGA, ISU Tulcea, Danube Delta FLAG, Danube Delta ITI, representatives of Local Councils from Tulcea County, Tulcea Regional Development Agency, ASE Bucharest, research institutes (INCDM Constanţa, INCDPM Bucharest, INCDT Bucharest, INCD Ecoind Bucharest, ICEM Tulcea) tourist complexes, hotels and guesthouses in Tulcea and the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve („Delta” Complex, „Europolis” Complex, „Dunărea Veche” guesthouse and others) media: „Agerpres”, „Delta” and „Obiectiv” newspapers, „Tulcea Express”, The Agency for Cross-border Cooperation and European Integration – Republic of Moldova.
Dr. Biol. Marian Tudor, General Director INCDDD Tulcea, Dr. Constantin Hogea, Mayor of Tulcea, Mr. Mălin-Matei Muşetescu, Governor of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Administration addressed the welcome words to the participants.
Two Keynote Speakers presented relevant themes: Prof. Univ. Dr. Angheluţă Vădineanu, Director of Systemic and Sustainability Ecology, University of Bucharest and Prof. Univ. Dr. Costel Negrei, Department of Agro-Food and Environment Economics, ASE Bucharest.
After the Keynote speakers, the project partners presented the following themes:

The meeting ended with a debate on the theme “DANS – Danubius RI Support. Transcultural Research Application on Sustainable Development”, mediated by DDNI Scientific Director, Dr. Eng. Iulian Nichersu, who also presented the conclusions of the event.
